ICONI Software supports those who assist individuals into employment, better health, or improved skills. We developed our innovative software to help beneficiary support programmes run with greater impact. Our vision was that by supporting the change-makers, we could help to transform the lives of vulnerable and under-served people.
Our Story
From humble beginnings in 2000 we now service some of the UK’s most important non-profits, charities, private and public sector organisations.
2000
Internet Concepts (Ireland) Ltd – known as iConcepts – is founded.
2001
iConcepts begins trading and opens its first office premises at 297 Ormeau Road, Belfast
2002
The business moves to new premises in The Rectory, Ormeau Road, Belfast
2003
Liam Jordan takes full ownership and control of the company, bringing a change of direction from internet consultancy to developing software solutions.
2004
ICONI Software Ltd, as the business is now know, gains its first customer – Nwes, a not-for-profit enterprise agency based outside of Northern Ireland.
2005
ICONI Software Ltd rebrands and a new logo is created.
2007
New, larger premises are required, so ICONI moves into Unit 21 Ormeau Business Park, Belfast
2009
Over £250k is secured in export related sales.
2011
ICONI wins its first prime contract for a national programme with CDG Works in London.
2015
The business rebrands with a new logo and strapline.
2015
The Customer Engagement & Progression (CEP) platform is launched.
February 2016
ICONI sponsors the ‘Partner of the Year Award’ at the annual ERSA Employability awards.
March 2016
Rebrand and a new website launched.
July 2016
Brian Reid joins as a Non-Executive Director.
September 2016
ICONI sponsors the Rehabilitation International (RI) World Congress 2016.
December 2016
ICONI sponsors the third annual Work in Progress event organised by Carley Consult.
January 2017
We partner with Shaw Trust to help deliver their Live Well Kent Initiative.
February 2017
ICONI sponsors the ‘Partner of the Year Award’ at the ERSA Employability awards.
July 2017
Niall Doherty appointed as Chief Technology Officer.
March 2018
Dean Carville appointed as Head of Operations.
June 2018
ICONI sponsor the NI Housing Festival.
February 2019
We sponsor the ‘Disability and Health Employment’ category at the ERSA Employability awards.

We support the UK IT Challenge for Disabled Young People
Month 2019
ENABLE Scotland choose ICONI to design and implement a solution to help manage their Enable Works programme.
October 2019
ICONI sponsor the Shaw Trust Power 100 list.
March 2020
All staff are immediately moved to remove working before the first full Covid lockdown.
March 2020
Cloud Services Team is created.
June 2021
ICONI wins and implements two large national programme solutions for new Prime Customers.
October 2023
ICONI is acquired by Banyan Software, a leading acquirer and permanent home for great software businesses.
